First opening its doors in 1959, New York’s 13th best high school is Jericho Senior High School. The AP program allows students to take rigorous college-level courses and earn college credit for their performance. At Jericho Senior High School, 96% of juniors and seniors take at least one AP exam. There are a total of 68% pupils from minority backgrounds, and 13% from low-income families. The Jericho Union Free School District only has one high school, Jericho Senior High School.

The Jericho hamlet, as well as portions of Westbury, Old Westbury, Brookville, and Muttontown, are served by Jericho High School.
